AI client disclosure clause sample
Clients increasingly ask whether AI tools touch their data or deliverables. A useful disclosure explains boundaries, review, and exceptions in plain language.
Sample clause structure
- Permitted use: Identify allowed AI-assisted tasks, such as drafting, summarizing, QA support, or internal research.
- Data boundary: State what client data may not be pasted into AI tools by default.
- Human review: Explain that client-facing outputs are reviewed before delivery.
- Vendor list: Point to an AI vendor register or project-specific tool list.
- Client restrictions: Provide a process for stricter project rules.
Safer wording habit
Do not imply that a template itself creates contract approval. The disclosure should match the contract, client instructions, and actual team practice.
The paid Growth Stack includes the fuller editable AI disclosure pack, AI vendor register, acceptable-use policy, and staff acknowledgement templates.
